Armored Bodysuit (Light Armor)
+4 Armor to Reflex Defense, +2 Equipment bonus to Fortitude Defense, +5 Max DEX Bonus, 20000 credits, 3 kg
This full-body, skin-tight armor leaves little to the imagination. It also provides excellent mobility and has plenty of capacity for modifcations. It has three modifications slots. Additionally, an armored bodysuit can be worn without losing the wearer's heroic level bonus to their Reflex defense if the wearer has the Armor Proficiency (Light) feat. However, Armored Bodysuits are custom-fitted to their owner (a 1000 credit additional expense), and used ones provide no bonus to Reflex or Fortitude defense unless they are refitted (which costs at least 2000 credits). While these can be worn underneath a uniform or non-combat armor, they cannot be worn with an All-Weather Durability Underliner. While they make for an effective form of concealed armor (providing a +10 bonus to your Deception or Stealth check to hide the fact that you are armored as long as none of the bodysuit is visible), they stick out like a sore thumb if any of the suit is visible (such as the gloves). At best, someone will think you're some kind of fetishist.
Briefcase Shield (Uniforms and Non-Combat Armor)
+4 Armor to Reflex Defense, 1000 Credits, 4 kg Determining that this briefcase can lock into a totally open format and be used as a shield requires a DC 25 Perception check if it is closed. Additionally, it can be used as a melee weapon (functioning as a mace). No proficiency is required to use the briefcase shield, however it only provides a bonus once it has been deployed and equipped (which requires a full-round action (or a standard action with the Quick Draw feat).
