Level 1
Guarded Mind
You have better self-control over your psionic abilities due to the need to suppress your ability to read every object you touch. The penalty to Accidental Scan checks you make while wearing gloves increases to -15, and you can always take a -5 penalty when at risk of making an Accidental Scan.
Seer
Whenever you take the Psionic Training feat, you automatically add a use of farseeing to your power suite as well.
Psychometer
You gain Psionic Perception as a bonus talent. If you already have this talent, you instead gain Psychometry as a bonus talent.
Level 3
Improved Psychometry (1st)
At level 3 and every 4 levels thereafter, choose an ability from the following list. You must have the talent of the same name in order to choose an ability.
- Illusion - As part of making an illusion you can now instead implant the illusion into an object no larger than yourself. This illusion triggers when the next intelligent creature that can be affected by psionics touches the object. You make your Psionics check now and the result is used to determine whether or not the creature is affected by the illusion.
- Psychometric Absorption - The effects of Psychometric Absorption are changed to the following: When you use the Psychometry talent on a weapon that has passed through at least one previous user you can absorb some of the lingering psychometric impressions of previous users’ skills. If you do not have proficiency with the weapon, you become proficient with it and gain Weapon Focus with it. If you are already proficient with it and do not have Weapon Focus with it, you instead gain the benefits of Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization with that weapon. If you already had Weapon Focus that the weapon benefits from, you instead gain the Weapon Specialization and either Crushing, Impaling, or Stinging Assault talents with that weapon. If you already have the Weapon Specialization talent with the weapon or the weapon group it belongs to, you instead gain the benefits of the Crushing Assault, Impaling Assault, or Stinging Assault talent and +1 to attack and damage with the weapon. If you already have the appropriate of those three talents, you instead gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage with the weapon. Aside from Psychometry, all the talents mentioned in this talent are from the Weapon Specialist tree available to Soldiers. Any benefit you gain from this talent lasts until you sleep next.
- Psychometry - The maximum amount of time you can look into is increased to 25 years per character level.
- Sense Psionically-Resonant Location - The range at which you can sense locations with a strong psychic presence is doubled. Additionally, you can also sense locations with a strong historical presence as long as records of what happened there exist in some form (even if they are not accessible to you) instead of just locations which have a strong psychic presence.
Level 5
Read the World (1st)
At level 5 and every 4 levels thereafter, choose one of the following options from the list that follows. Using one of these options requires you to expend a use of the farseeing power. If you expend a use of farseeing in this way, it remains expended until you next rest to recover daily abilities such as Second Wind.
- Greater Photographic Reflexes - As Photographic Reflexes, however you can gain up to the 2nd-Degree bonuses of the school. You cannot select this ability until you have chosen Improved Photographic Reflexes.
- Improved Photographic Reflexes - You can copy a combat school used by someone you have watched fight. You do not need to have any of the prerequisites for the feat, however you only gain the 1st-Degree bonuses of the school. You retain the use of this combat school until you regain the use of farseeing you expended to activate this. You cannot select this ability until you have chosen Photographic Reflexes.
- Photographic Memory - With a DC 30 Psionics check you can recall any piece of text you have read or static image that you have witnessed after obtaining this ability.
- Photographic Reflexes - You can copy a Feat used by someone simply by watching them use it. You do not need to have any of the prerequisites for the feat. You retain the use of this feat until you regain the use of farseeing you expended to activate this.
- Superior Photographic Reflexes - As Photographic Reflexes, however you can gain up to the 3rd-Degree bonuses of the school. You cannot select this ability until you have chosen Greater Photographic Reflexes.
- Text Translation - By calling upon the lingering echoes of whoever wrote a piece of text, you can decipher the language in question by making a Psionics check. You retain the ability to read this language until you regain the use of farseeing you expended to activate this. The DC of the psionics check is 20 for a language in use by your species, 30 for a language in use by another species, and 40 for a language no longer in use.
- Three Dimensional Memory - You can read your surroundings in detail, mentally recording them for future recollection. You can record everything within a number of meters equal to your Charisma modifier. Recalling these memories is a DC 20 Psionics check, and you can transmit them into another’s mind by beating their Will Defense with a psionics check. Due to the fact that you cannot manipulate this recording, it is admissible as evidence in a court of law where such restrictions apply.
