A'rin

A'rin, a pseudonym for the esteemed prophetess Nira Vokelsburg, was regarded as perhaps the most accurate seer of the relatively modern era. Nira had a policy of issuing only a single prophecy per person per year, and her fee averaged around 30,000 USD. Nira was reachable on the early Shadownet Protocol, the predecessor to the modern network that the SDA runs, and communicated completely via this protocol.

The Prophecies of A'rin

In addition to her for-sale prophecies, Nira also wrote an series of more general prophecies, accessible only to those. These seemed to follow now patterns at all, some were horrendously mundane, while others spoke of earth-shattering consequences (sometimes literally). These are generally considered to be the true mark of her abilities, as they have proven to be eerily accurate. The Prophecies exist in hardcopy only, they were never published on the Shadownet - consequently they were only reachable by those who knew how to contact Nira in person.

Third Prophecy

"In the days before the Cataclysm, a Destroyer shall fall and rise… It shall come from the mountains lands near a great hub of civilization… The Destroyer must be stopped, lets it unleash a greater Cataclysm…"

Seventy Ninth Prophecy

The First of the Tenth will find themselves near the Brightest... Heed one score and a half at their side, searching for knowledge... If ansers they seek, yet they will find the forgotten past... Notice, the Archivist is on the right path, but dangers lie ahead... Gaze upon the diverging path, victory and defeat both lead to answers... Surrounded by night, truth lies concealed, Watching in the shadows... The First of Seventy Two, thought lost, will appear again... Open the door, for the path proceeds through it on the other side... Seek not the unknown truth, but the known truth instead... Early assumptions never turn out to be true, look beyond the top... Energy abounds, the way to the future is clear, follow it
