Personal Gravity Device

Availability: Rare

Manufacturer: TASS Nobu Shirase engineering department

Developed by combining Terran Alliance inertial manipulation technology and 'found' Chrysoari gravity control technology, the PGD allows for a user to replicate the ability innate to Gravity contractors - that of 'personal gravity.' A power pack provides enough power to operate this device for 8 hours in its lowest-power mode. The device has two modes:

  • Passive Compensator - Active as long as the device has power, this allows you to take no penalty on attack rolls in high-gravity, low-gravity, zero-gravity environments, and you ignore the debilitating effects of space sickness. In this mode a power pack will last for 8 hours.
  • Active Adjustment - You can choose to increase the device's power to full, consuming 2 hours worth of power from the power pack for every round it remains active. While active you can choose to gain a +8 bonus to Strength for the purposes of Jumping, or a +8 bonus to Dexterity for the purposes of Acrobatics. In either case, you gain a +2 square bonus to your speed for the purposes of determining your maximum jumping distance.

A Shot Gauntlet is a gauntlet designed for melee combat with an extremely short-barrel shotgun built into the frame. An inertial field generator allows the shotgun to be fired without risking harm to the user. The shotgun is fed by a torus-shaped cylinder that wraps around the user's forearm - you can reload a number of shells equal to your Dexterity modifier into this cylinder with a single move action. The Shot Gauntlet's shotgun component can be fired when hitting a target with a melee attack as a swift action, this requires no separate ranged attack roll and instead automatically hits. This attack can only be used to hit the target of the melee attack. The inertial field generators built into the gauntlet that allow the shotgun barrel to be fired without harming the wielder also add an additional +6 damage to melee attacks instead of the usual +1 for combat gloves. Ranged attacks made with the shotgun barrel use thrown weapon ranges due to the practically non-existent barrel. However, this weapon is still in development and treats a natural d20 roll of 1, 2, 3, or 4 as if it was a natural 1, rendering the shotgun component jammed and and the inertial fields disabled until the it is repaired. The weapon still functions as a set of combat gloves until then, providing a +1 bonus to melee damage. This weapon can be switched between firing Terran Alliance or Calengil shotgun ammunition with 10 minutes of work and a DC 20 Mechanics check. The wielder cannot be disarmed of the Shot Gauntlet without severing their arm above the weapon. This weapon has 2 unused modification slots, but it cannot be enhanced by the Tech Specialist or Superior Tech feats. For the moment, this weapon is only available by custom order from its developers: Nora Vang, POFC Winry Ackerman, SQL Nayeli Ingersleben, LTMJ Laura Janson, and SQL Momoka Shizuka. A production version of the weapon will only provide a +1 bonus to melee damage and will lack the +5 bonus on ranged damage, but can be enhanced by the Tech Specialist and Superior Tech feats.

Shot Gauntlets obtained from the developers can have the following modifications (see the Mechanics skill) added to them: Custom Stock, Magnum Chamber, Smoothened Well, Trigger Job
