Level 1: Theme Knowledge
In the course of your explorations of various biomes, you have studied all manner of flora and fauna as well as geology, geography., and wilderness survival. Reduce the DC to identify beasts using Knowledge [Life Sciences] by 5. Additionally, you do not need to make a Survival check for the following applications of that skill: Basic Survival, Endure Extreme Temperatures (though you still require a field kit), and Know Direction.
Level 6: Protector of the Wild
You harm creatures of the wilderness only when necessary for survival, preferring to simply knock them unconscious whenever possible. When you use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage to a creature with Beast levels that you have identifed with a successful Knowledge [Life Sciences] check, you don’t take the standard –4 penalty to your attack rolls. Finally, you can use Knowledge [Life Sciences] to provide frst aid (as per the Treat Injury skill) to creatures with Beast levels.
Level 12: Be(a)st Friend
You have befriended an animal that has Beast levels equal to your character level. This creature gains additional levels as you do, and is built using the standard rules for Beasts.
